Having been born to Midwestern parents and having attended a Southern Baptist Church in my formative years I am no stranger to the finger wagging phrase “You should…” My wife (also from Midwestern roots) will attest to the fact that I see red whenever someone points their finger at me and tells me how I “should” do something. I can feel my blood pressure rise just writing about it!
So, what exactly is wrong with this very common exchange? I ran across a recent post by Kevin Wheeler of Fateweaver Tarot that deals with this problematic phrase. And no, I’m not going to tell you that you should read it! But if you are so inclined you can read it here. It is important to understand the dynamics of an exchange involving this phrase and why it does not belong in tarot reading. I highly recommend it.
